Training has been offered in the following areas: (1) Student financial aid; (2) general project management for new directors; (3) legislative and regulatory requirements for the operation of Federal TRIO programs; (4) design and operation of model programs for projects funded under the Federal TRIO programs; (5) retention and graduation strategies; (6) counseling; (7) reporting student and project performance; and (8) coordinating project activities with other available resources and activities.

This section indicates the different types of projects which have been funded in the past. Only projects funded under Project Grants or Direct Payments for Specified Use should be listed here. The examples give potential applicants an idea of the types of projects that may be accepted for funding. The agency should list at least five examples of the most recently funded projects.
